Be the Change t-shirt blitz… kiddo sizes just added!

So many of you have requested children’s tees so here they are and I must say that they will look darling on little ones (photos please). Please order soon as I need to get the final order in by early next week to complete our blitz. We have a ways to go to reach our goal with Visiting Orphans, but I know we can do it!!!! Thank you for your generosity and all the kind emails and prayers. You guys rock!

It won’t be long now… In just 22 days my son and I will be off to Ethiopia. We will be eager to meet our Visiting Orphans team and excited to land in Africa. Africa! Sometimes I still have to pinch myself when I say it. Last summer I fell in love with Ethiopia in all its splendor, the riches, the strife, the coffee, the white robes and the people walking everywhere, the loud blue and white buses, the wide smiles, the roaming animals who stop in the middle of the road, the stares I get while carrying my camera, the elbow bump greeting and the deep spiritual side of the people. It was a land I long to return to even though I do not look forward to the reentry into the view of children forced to sleep alongside the road or the rotten food items being sold on the corners,  the smell of poverty or the harrowing views of crippled people begging in the streets. In Ethiopia there is a vast chasm between the rich beauty and the deep struggle,  but I am ready to be back in my daughter’s birth country to explore, vision, serve, pray and be changed by her people and what it is God has placed on my heart. This trip I will be focused on serving orphaned children and I cannot wait to see what God has in store!

Here comes the fun part… We are selling the fun shirts below to help us with our trip. The back of the shirt says it all and tells what we hope to do with our time in the third world land of Ethiopia ; Seek Justice, Serve, Show Mercy, Love, Shine Brightly, Act, Show Hope, Pray and Change Lives. Would you consider being a part of our team of supporters? Perhaps you would even consider snapping a few pictures of yourself wearing the shirts. How cool would it be to know so many of you helped my and son and I to go and change lives one person at a time. In helping us reach our goals you will be serving alongside us in Ethiopia. You will be holding the little hand who longs to show you something, you will be playing games and dancing with the kids who need a mentor or someone to take even a moment to show they care. You will be helping us purchase goats for a large dinner in the trash dump community of Korah. You will be present when we place a new pair of shoes on the child who walks hours each day just to gather water as we partner with Tom’s Shoes.  You will be helping us to share the the love of Jesus to the least and lost. So please buy a shirt for you or your kiddos!  We have crew necks and v-necks available and all shirts will be mailed the first (or second week) of February. All shirts are short sleeved. All shirts are $25. The v-necks are more of a women’s cut and the crew is unisex.  After you begin to purchase you should see a place for quantity but if not you may be required to check out twice. Sorry 🙁  Thank you so much and have a wonderful and week filled with blessings!

    1. Thanks girl for your support. WOuld you mind sharing the link on your FB page or with others at work. We really have a ways to go and I am trying hard to have extra to bring to support children and families with goats along the way! Love you bunches!

  1. Melanie,

Love the shirts~ are they fitted or a unisex shirt and do they fit true to size? So excited for you and your son, thank you for what you are doing and God’s blessings on your trip!

    1. HI Heather:
Not sure if I responded already. We have had crazy stomahc flu around here! The vnecks will be a ladies fit and the crew a unisex fit. The shirts are being shipped to me early next week but I always say oder up one size and let it shrink. I am happy to exchange too if it does not fit. Thanks for you support! I hope that helps at least a bit.
