Summer’s Beauty {Day 2}

We had the funniest comment from our eight year old son this morning who announced during our cleanup session from a busy weekend that his 13 month sister must have pulled down his hooded sweatshirt from the hook in the mudroom. Somehow boys have a challenging time actually hanging up an item as opposed to simply throwing it on the floor near the spot it belongs. So I am certain you needed to be her to see the visual but Daddio reenacted this by lifting Ava over and over and showing her plucking the sweatshirt from the hook and throwing it the floor. Ava was all giggles and we were all howling. We may have to do it again on video so I have proof of Carter’s crazy excuses when he is he older and perhaps wiser. Bob’s comment back to Carter, “Of course Ava threw your sweatshirt on the floor and our invisible dog ate your homework.” The joy of boys!

My photos today showcase the end of school, neighborhood celebrations, soccer season wrap ups and Ava’s fun as she had a gaggle of children loving on her yesterday. Summer is so delicious in so many ways…
